The Polish Heritage Society and the Peter Warlock Society sponsored and funded the bronze 2-metre high statue of composer and ethnomusicologist Béla Bartók (1881-1945) by Imre Varga.  It is located outside the South Kensington Station.  Originally unveiled in 2004, it was rededicated in 2011.  Bartók lived close by at 7 Sydney Place SW7 whenever he visited London, UK.
